Wake Me Up

We did a lot of head scratching for the intro music I would use walking into the installation dinner on Saturday past. Seamie O’Neill’s proposal — Dearg Doom — was ruled out as too Mel Gibson/Braveheart-like. Also swiftly ruled out was Bright Side of the Road (too predictable), Snow Patrol (too derivative of a thousand marketing campaigns for Belfast) and My Lagan Love (too soft).

Eventually, we went with this wonderful version in Gaeilge of Avicii’s Wake Me Up. It worked.
