Sean Taylor: Kilburn

Sean Taylor: Kilburn

May 27, 2013 Music 0 Comments

I met Sean Taylor when he was a nipper when visiting his mum Angie and dad Steve in Kilburn in the eighties.

Angie was active as a Labour councillor back in the day and made frequent visits to the black North to back the peace process.

Turns out when I was gone, Sean has morphed into a formidable singer-songwriter who has just completed a tour of Australia with Glen Hansard of Once fame (as you do).

He’s no stranger to Ireland either though I haven’t caught one of his gigs, yet. I’m hoping to put that right if we can lure him back to Belfast in this year of the Gathering.

You can see more about Sean’s background and music at his website where you can also pick up a free copy of this cracking song, Kilburn taken from his new album Love Against Death. For the uninitiated, Kilburn is the 33rd county but I’m sure it’s much more than that to Sean. You can listen for  yourself and if you want to venture forth into a terra incognito for me, Facebook, you can also find more about this talented troubadour there.
