Joy, community, respect and love

It’s my hope that the sense of joy, community, respect and love surrounding the Belfast Pride parade, which I had the privilege of starting yesterday, will prevail as we enter into a challenging week.

It was uplifting to see a celebration which really put a smile on the face of Belfast and I have no doubt that while I was the first Lord Mayor to start and address the Pride parade and festival, the involvement of the First Citizen will continue in the years ahead.
